Richard Civitarese was born on June 10, 1943 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to parents Thomas James and Virginia Mary (Izzi) Civitarese and entered into eternal rest on June 2, 2019 at the age of 75. Richard graduated in 1961 from St. James High School in West End, PA. He then went on to graduate from Pennsylvania State University in 1965 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Labor and Management Relations. Richard went to work as a Retail Buyer. He worked with numerous companies; L. Strauss, Jacobson’s and Burlington. Richard married the love of his life, Carol Lee Miller, on July 17, 1965 in Greentree, PA. He and Carol began their life together; starting a home and building a family. Richard’s family and friends knew him as “Rich” or “Dick”. He was the most patient man that ever lived. Richard was devoted to his family. He was an amazing husband, father and grandfather. Richard was quick witted and had a kind heart. He was always willing to help anyone with any project. Richard enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He was a huge Indianapolis Colts Fan. Richard was Catholic by faith. He will be truly missed by those who knew and loved him.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents and his grandson Zack Smith.
He is survived by his loving wife Carol Civitarese of Eustace, Texas, son Richard Civitarese Jr. and wife Amber of Irving, son Anthony Civitarese and wife Kristina of Indianapolis, IN, grandson Dillon Civitarese and wife Jami of Dallas, great-grandson Silas Civitarese of Dallas, great-granddaughter Eva Civitarese of Dallas, Grandson Tyler Civitarese of Indianapolis, IN, granddaughter Nicole Civitarese of Indianapolis, IN, granddaughter Courtney Civitarese of Indianapolis, IN, great-granddaughter Isabelle Smith of Houston, TX, brother Vincent Civitarese and wife Roberta of Pawleys Island, SC, other loving family members and many more lifelong friends.
