Haylie Elizabeth Grimes

Haylie Elizabeth Grimes, age 17, of Kaufman,Texas passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2023. Haylie was born February 25, 2006 to Candi Alfrod and Brandon Grimes. A year and a half later, Candi met Junior Scott and from there, their story started.

Next year Haylie would have been a Senior from Mabank High School. Where she was planning in following in her fathers' steps into joining the service as a US Marine to be a nurse. Haylie enjoyed fishing, singing, dancing, shopping, video games, and making Tik Tok videos. She has no fear, especially when it came to fishing! She loved taking her own fish off the line. One of the many things she loved was the Holidays. Most importantly, Haylie had a deep love for her family. She cherished the time spent together!

If you knew her well or barely at all, she always left you thinking and laughing. Whether it was about how absolutely beautiful, ridiculously funny, or just down right inappropriate. She has left her mark on this wonderful Earth.

Hayli was preceded by her Aunt Aimee, memaw, poppy, Grandma Tammy, and Great grandparents.

Haylie is survived by her Mother; Candi Alfrod, Father's; Junior Scott and Brandon Grimes, siblings; Jaylin Scott, Sophie Grimes, Brandon Grimes, Chelsea Mckinney, Trey Scott, Hannah Scott, Grandparents; Elisa Alfrod, Linda Herring, Bobby Box, Sandy Parker, Patsy Grimes, Buck Grimes, Great-Grandmother; Betty Smith, Niece and Nephews, many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.

A visitation for Haylie will be held Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Eubank Cedar Creek, 601 South 3rd Street, Mabank, Texas, followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:00 PM.
