Donald Lynn Whitehead

Born June 26, 1952 in Marlow, Oklahoma, Donald is the son of Norvin Woodrow “Nob” Whitehead and Harriett Louise Pittman. Donald is a veteran of the United States Navy where he served as an aviation mechanic. After the Navy, he spent his long career working for Halliburton and TXU Energy. His hobbies included fishing, woodworking, and home improvement projects. Donald was a pillar of strength and a source of unwavering support for his family. His dedication to his role as a father and husband was truly exceptional, and he leaves behind cherished memories of love and care.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Gaye Whitehead of Chandler; his son Sonny Whitehead and wife Alicia of Keller, Texas; his son Jonas Whitehead and wife Ann of Canton, Texas; his grandchildren, Madelyn and Makenzie Whitehead of Keller, Texas and grandsons, Colton and Chase Whitehead of Canton, Texas; two sisters, Virginia Whitehead of Spokane, Washington and Patricia Stout of Shawnee,

Oklahoma; one brother, Clinton Whitehead of Houston, Texas; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside memorial service to celebrate Donald's life and lay him to rest will be held on Saturday, September 30th, 2023 at 3:00PM at Eubank Cedar Creek Memorial Park 16701 State Highway 198, Mabank, TX 75147. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Disabled Veterans of America in Donald's honor.
