Donald Robert Burns was born on September 19, 1936 in Port Huron, Michigan to parents Henry and Florence (Phillips) Burns and entered into eternal rest on June 6, 2020 at the age of 83. Don was known as “Duck” and as a good ole country boy, who enjoyed going fishing, watching western shows and movies and being with his friends and family. He married the love of his life, Gloria Burns, in November of 1961 in California where the two had met. They were together for 44 years. Don worked as an automotive body man for 50 years. He will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, wife Gloria Burns, sisters; Ester and Kathleen.
He is survived by his daughter Victoria Stubblefield and husband Randy of Garland, daughter Linda Sullivan and husband Donald of San Antonio, son Richard Burns of Mabank, grandchildren; Clayton Stubblefield of McKinney, Tina Merritt and husband Daniel of Richmond, Gary Walby Jr. of San Antonio, great-grandchildren; Kaitlyn, Dakota, Emily, Braydon, Wesley, great-great grandchild Rosalie, numerous nieces, nephews other loving family members and lifelong friends.
