Dennis was born on September 6, 1922 in Paragold, Arkansas to parents Felix and Martha (Williams) Harrison and entered into eternal rest on October 31, 2014 at the age of 92. Dennis was in The United States Navy and served from 1942-1945 and was in World War II. He loved to write poetry and drove a truck until he was 88, driving was his passion. Dennis was Baptist by faith and was a member of The Payne Spring Baptist Church. He was a very loving and caring man who will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, wife Juanita Harrison, daughter Deanna Lea Harrison Thatcher, sister Permelia Whiteside, brothers; Alvie, Donald, Marlin Zane and Norman.
He is survived by his daughter Betty Lou Spalinger and husband Ed of Oakridge, OR, sons; Larry Dennis Harrison and wife Susan of Gun Barrel City and Sidney Alfred Harrison of Forney, daughter Dennita Joyce Burrow and husband Gary of Forney, 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, other loving family members and many more friends.
