Bobby was born on June 22, 1935 in New Albany, Mississippi to parents Leet and Laura (Rhea) Maxey and entered into eternal rest on April 17, 2018 at the age of 82. Bobby worked as an electrician and came to own and operate his own business for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Bobby loved baseball, football and Nascar. He loved watching his children play sports and even more so watching the grandchildren play them. Bobby was also active in coaching with his kids and grandchildren. He liked being outdoors, especially mowing his yard. Bobby was known for carrying a big stick around and squishing bugs with it. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Bobby will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents and brothers; Larry Rhea Maxey, Bennie Frank Maxey and Billy Jack Maxey.
He is survived by his loving wife JoAnn Maxey of Gun Barrel City, daughter Cindy Duggan and husband Van of Seven Points, daughter Carla Jo Beavers of Winnsboro, son Cleve Maxey of Caney City, grandchildren; Randa Sullivan and husband Jonathan of Gun Barrel City, Tye Duggan and wife April of Payne Springs, Blake Duggan of Seven Points and Darby Beavers of Winnsboro, great-grandchildren; Carter, Preston, Parker and Addilyn Sullivan, brothers; Roy Maxey of Desoto and Richard Maxey and wife Rosemary of Dallas, sisters; Sara Maxey of Rowlett and Sue Kennedy of Dallas, other loving family members and many more friends.
