on June 21, 2021 surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on August 8, 1936 in Everett to Fern & Norton Turcott.
He was joined by 2 sisters, Aline & Noreen, as well as a brother, Gary.
Bob grew up in the Lake Stevens area, going to Sunnyside Grade
School and Lake Stevens Junior High. The family moved to Bellingham
in 1952 where he graduated from Mt Baker High School in 1955. In
February 1956 he moved to Seattle and started working for Boeing as
a draftsman, from which he retired 39 years later in June 1995.
He joined the Seattle Tip Toppers in 1956 where he met his wife,
Lorna, in March of 1958 and they were married at Trinity Lutheran
Church on July 11, 1959. They have both been active church members
singing in the choir, helping count offering and serving in many other
capacities.
Bob was very active in the Edmonds/Everett area in many ways. He
was a Little League Basketball coach for 20 years, spent 50 years in
Boy Scouts of America and over 45 years instructing Winter Camping.
He was also a Mountain Orientation First Aid instructor for 10 years.
He and Lorna joined as Charter Members of Edmonds Lodge-Sons of
Norway in 1983, where he was given the Man of the Year award in 2010.
Bob spent many years volunteering at the Donor Closet for MSHH in
downtown Edmonds and picking up bread for the Lynnwood Senior Ctr.
He was an avid Bridge player and loved card playing of any kind. He
loved to hunt and fish with his son and grandson. He spent a lot of time
at their river lot near Darrington, where he had his mountains for hiking
and river for swimming and fishing.
Bob is survived by his wife of 63 years, Lorna (Eldevik) Turcott, son
Todd, grandson Tim (Kimi) with their children Kaiiwa & Kole, sister Aline
(Glen) Eastman and brother Gary (Corrine) Turcott as well as many
nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Norton & Fern (Turcott)
Healy, sister Noreen & her husband Larry Clements, niece Lindy Allen,
nephew Fred Eastman and great nephew David Allen.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1PM on Saturday, Aug. 28th
at Trinity Lutheran Church - 6215 196th St SW - Lynnwood, WA
