Kilsu was born on July 16, 1942 in Korea to Ok-Dan and Si-Chan Yi. He married Hui Cha Kim on November 19, 1969 and together they immigrated to the United States in 1974, settled in Seattle, WA and raised three daughters, Susie, Julie and Carol.
Kilsu worked as a Machinist and retired from Boeing after 27 years.
As a leader and friend in the Seattle area Korean community, he served as Elder at the Korean Presbyterian Church of Seattle for 40 years.
Kilsu enjoyed exploring the outdoors of the Pacific Northwest, taking his family on many road trips and spending quality time with friends.
He was truly a wonderful man and the highest example of a devoted family man, a trusted friend and generous spirit.
With bounds of energy and always a smile on his face, he took care of us all in every way.
He loved his wife and family immensely, was a faithful servant of God, worked his trade enthusiastically, and was compassionate to all that crossed his path...for that he will forever be loved.
Kilsu is survived by his wife Hui Cha Yi, his three daughters and son in laws - Susie & John Shepard, Julie & Joe Boden, Carol & Craig Sugawara, his seven grandchildren – Jacob, Payton, Jackson, Max, Teddy, Elise & Naomi, and one great granddaughter - Jayla.
