Germa and I go wayy back all the way to 1st grade ( 20+ years ago) when Nina and I met at school! Germa was always so  full of life toting us girls around! She always made me feel like a granddaughter and not just her annoying granddaughter’s friend! You could always joke with her and she would dish it right back! 
She truly was a gem and I will miss hearing stories of Germa from Nina! You will be miss Germa, love you!! Xoxo Katie 

We always enjoyed our time getting together with Jean over the past twenty years.  Her sense of humor, happy nature, and beautiful smile made great memories.  

My Mom was truly one of life's characters.  One of God's children that made a difference in so many lives.  She loved all of her family unconditionally.  Born between World Wars, she was always a survivor.   She struggled as a young mother and lost many precious years raising us kids.  However, her love for us gave her the strength and courage to rise up and defeat her demons.  She ultimately became the role model that we learned to revere.  She taught us how fail and get back up always with a sense of humor.  She always gave back.  From years with AA to Special Olympics to Ambassador to Brookdale, she was The Volunteer and I'm sure she is already on a committee in heaven and cracking them up.  I love you, Mom.

In memory of my sister-in-law, Jeanne Sexton. She was a very loving person.    She had a sharp wit and always seemed upbeat. She was assailed by multiple problems but fought to overcome them. She was very brave. Although I did not see her for many years she was always in my thoughts and I loved her. She will be missed. Rest in Peace.

Jeanne was my one and only Aunt, and truly one-of-a-kind. She lived near us in Connecticut for many years, including some time in our town (Wilton). I had a chance to spend a lot of time with her before she moved away to be closer to her children. I remember her offbeat sense of humor and that she loved talking about her work with disabled adults--you could tell that work was very meaningful to her. Jeanne was the relative you could count on to give you the "straight scoop", or at least her version of it. She rarely sugar-coated things, which I liked. Things often got interesting when she was together with her mother (my grandmother). I have many fond memories of her. Goodbye Aunt Jeanne, you will be remembered and you will be missed.   

As far as mother-in-laws go, I think I got pretty lucky.  She always had a great sense of humor.  I remember one time she told me she always wanted to be a biker chick.  I always thought she was a lot hipper than she let on.  I’ll always remember her for  being such an awesome grandma to Nina and am thankful she was a part of our lives.  We’ll miss you, Germa.

fullest. With many ups and downs,
you always had your brilliant smile.
I was so proud for what you were able
to accomplish. Your compassionate
spirit was evident in the many
volunteer activities you undertook.
Your love for your children and
grandchildren was unmatched. And
their love for you was returned without
question. Your presence always
brightened up the room, and your
friendships were very important to
you. Our hearts are broken but we will
have many happy, fun memories to
help us through.

This past weekend we said goodbye to my Germa. She got to spend her last “good day” with all of her kids, her two granddaughters and her dear Andy all together with her, and her last words were “I love,” which sums her up perfectly. One thing Germa did best was love. 

Germa played a huge role in my life - she is part of more of my most precious childhood memories than any other one person. I spent every summer day with her; she was the only grandma that would come play at recess and was the best field trip chaperone. Her house was always the place we gathered, and most of our “remember that time” stories center around Germa or Germa’s house. There were no family vacations without her, and she was always a member of the “kids table” because she was too fun for the grown up table. She was the life of the party and brought laughter to every situation, but her big heart was what made her so special to so many people. Germa spent a lot of time volunteering with special needs adults and I often got to go with her as a kid. I still remember how loved she was at the community center - and it was because she didn’t go there to “help the needy,” she went there to visit with her friends. Our days there were spent goofing around, making jokes, and learning things like bu that place.” It’s hard to wrap my mind around a world without Germa’s love for me, but she lives on through her kids and grandkids in our odd senses of humor and snarky comments, our abilities to love deeply and fully embrace our passions, and our tendency to take the scenic route through life ♥️🤟
