Jim graduated from Appleton West High School in 1959. Jim then moved to Carthage Illinois to attend Carthage College. It is there he met his wife of 57 years JoAnn Wagner. Jim and JoAnn were married in November of 1962. Their son James Kenneth was born in February of 1964. In 1965, having relocated to Kenosha Wisconsin Jim graduated from Carthage College with a BA in Psychology and minor in business. He was a member of the Tau Sigma Chi fraternity.
Jim and JoAnn settled in Rolling Meadows, a suburb of Chicago where Jim worked as an executive with United Airlines. Jim and Joann welcomed their daughters Sheree Michelle in 1967 and Heather Ann in 1970. Jim moved the family a short distance to Mount Prospect where they lived until 1976.
Longing for mountains, water and milder winters, Jim and JoAnn moved the family to Washington State. Settling in the then small town of Woodinville Washington. Jim had an instrumental roll in the forming of Wooden Cross Lutheran Church and served as the first Council President.
Jim worked as an investment banker for Seattle Trust, Peoples Bank and US Bank. Jim went into business for himself opening Woodinville Office Supply serving businesses around the Woodinville area for several years. Jim sold Woodinville Office Supply to Kenney’s Office Products and returned shortly to US Bank before retiring early in 1998 so he and JoAnn could follow their passion for travel. During the next 20 Years Jim and JoAnn travelled around the world on cruises, train trips around Europe and many road trips in the US. Jim enjoyed spending time with his family most of all. He had a passion for sailing, woodworking and feeding a yard full of birds.
Jim is survived by his wife JoAnn, son Jim Beaumont, daughters Sheree Zwar and Heather Kelly, and his seven grandchildren, Amara Beaumont, Natalya Zwar, Bryce Kelly, Drew Kelly, Jackson Beaumont, Katarina Zwar and Samantha Kelly.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donation be made in Jim’s name to the American Lung Association
