Helen was born in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Canada on May 17, 1920 to Robert and Isabella Hill.
During World War II Helen served with the Royal Canadian Air Force and was stationed in London, England, where she met Bill Corbett of the U.S. Navy. They married on June 16, 1945. After World War II Helen and Bill were transferred to various bases as Bill served in the U.S. Army until 1968.
Helen’s favorite pastimes were volunteering at Trinity Lutheran Church where she was a quilter and faithful offering counter, camping and square dancing with the Checkerboard Squares of Edmonds, WA., meeting friends at the Edmonds Pancake Haus and Colonial Pantry and reading,
Helen is survived by her children Donna (Mike) Clark of Warren, MI, Carol Westover of Montclair, VA and Peggy (Bob) Hards of Midland, TX, six grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Isabella Hill, two brothers and her husband of 60 years Bill.
A memorial service for Helen will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 3rd at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lynnwood. She will be laid to rest at Floral Hills Cemetery in Lynnwood.
In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Trinity Lutheran Church TLCW Quilters at Trinity Lutheran Church, 6215 196th Street SW, Lynnwood, WA.
