Alvina passed away peacefully, with grace and dignity in the open arms of Jesus Christ, on August 4, 2011, In Everett, Washington. She was 87 years old. Alvina was born in St. Paul, Minnesota on October 25, 1923. She married Eugene B. Gibson, on June 3, 1944, in Seattle, Washington.
Alvina was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene B. Gibson, her parents, Earl P. Kinney and Bernice E. Kinney (Shaw); Siblings Harold B Kinney, Howard W. Kinney, Evelyn E. Christensen (Kinney), Gladys I. Jones (Kinney), Mildred A. Kinney, Earl B. Kinney, and A. Raymond Kinney. She was survived by loving children Darryl E. Gibson (Cheri) and Dana M. Burlison (Scott), 2 Grandchildren, Jolene E. Johnson (Austin), Todd M. Gibson, 3 Great-Grandchildren, Sydney E. Johnson, Phoebe L. Gibson, and Colby D. Johnson, and numerous cousins and friends.
Memorial services at Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills on Saturday, August 13, 2011, at 1:00 PM with Pastor Don Brandt officiating.
