Sandra Abbott

Born in Lynn on September 20, 1936 to the late Thomas W. and Mary (MacIlwraith) Curley. Sandra was a graduate of Lynn English High School, Class of 1954. She was deeply involved with coordinating her class reunions every year all the while staying in touch with many of her classmates and friends.

Sandra was a great bowler, loved playing cards, slot machines and also enjoyed sewing and reading. Her love for travel took her to many islands over the years including her favorites of Aruba and Tahiti. Most of all Sandra’s biggest passion was her family, she loved being called Mom, Grammy and Gigi.

Sandra is survived by her loving daughters Beverly Abbott of Lynn and Leslie Abbott of Amesbury; her grandchildren April Moody, Brad Efstratios and Alison Efstratios; her great granddaughter Amelia Ciampoli; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is predeceased by her grandson Glenn Moody, Jr. and her siblings Thomas Curley, Robert Curley, Burton Curley and Marion Ruggiero.

Friends and family are invited to call at the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn on Sunday, July 11th from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. Her funeral service will be held on Monday, July 12th at 10 a.m. at Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn.
