Mr. Richard F. Jacobsen, age 55, of Beverly, formerly of Lynn, died on Tuesday at his home. He was the husband of Debra (Tondreau) Jacobsen, with whom he shared 29 years together, and 11 years married.
Born in Lynn, he was the son of the late Richard F. and Judith (Cook) Jacobsen. He graduated from Lynn English High School.
Richard wanted to capture every happy moment in its entirety. Every year he’d capture a photo of you in front of your birthday cake without fail. He assembled books full of memories for his wife and children full of photos and achievements. There’s home videos full of beautiful memories that he created. He retold funny and happy stories of his childhood and his kids often. He travelled Lynn and photographed many locations where memories were made. He worked at Desfosses Electrical, Berry Mechanical, and Dry Air Systems. His moment will be captured by those who survive him.
In addition to his wife, he leaves his children John Jacobsen and Hailey Jacobsen both of Beverly. He was also the brother of Debra O’Sullivan and her husband Brian of Georgia, Donna Brunelle and her late husband Norman of Hookset, NH, Kimberly O’Brien and her husband John of Swampscott, Mark Jacobsen and his wife Melissa of Lynn, Scott Jacobsen of Georgetown, and Tammy Jacobsen and her partner Rob of Lynn, the brother-in-law of Paul Josephson and his late wife Athena of Lawrence, Allan Tondreau and his wife Tina of Virginia Beach, VA, Ann Tondreau of Revere and Steven Tondreau and his partner Maureen of Lynn, and the uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, January 28, from 1PM to 4PM in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn. In request of the family, burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Richard's name to the Lynn Museum and Historical Society located at 590 Washington Street, Lynn.
