Born on September 30th, 1981, she was the loving daughter of Michael James and Tina Angelina (O’Blenes) Greene, the adored granddaughter of Audrey May (McMullen) Greene and her late husband Lawrence, and of Francesca (Arena) O’Blenes and her late husband Russell, the cherished sister of Jessica Lee Greene, the late Michael James Greene II and his wife Casandra, and the late Zachary Russell Greene, the adored aunt of Elijah, Michael and Gianna Greene, Brandon Denton and Adelyn Garcia, and the loving niece of Lawrence and James Greene, Carole O’Blenes, and the late Russell O’Blenes.
Rebecah was proud to be a lifelong resident of Lynn. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School and was a valued member of the softball team. She went on to attend Hunter College in New York City.
Rebecah had a special gift for teaching, playing with, and loving young children. She was a teacher at Joi Child Care Center for many years, and had the opportunity to bring joy to the lives of many children. Rebecah also had the honor of working with children from many different countries during her time at the Rockefeller University Child Care Center in New York. She had a wonderful way of showing empathy and compassion.
Her family and friends will miss her beautiful smile, playful ways, and loving heart. She touched the lives of many. She will truly be missed and remembered every day.
Michael passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at the age of 43. Michael was the husband of Casandra (Denton) Greene, and the beloved father of Michael James Greene, III, Gianna Marie Greene, and Brandon Michael Denton. He was a devoted father who loved his children dearly. Born on May 15, 1979, he was the loving son of Michael James and Tina Angelina (O’Blenes) Greene. He was the adored grandson of Audrey May (McMullen) Greene and her late husband Lawrence, and Francesca (Arena) O’Blenes and her late husband Russell, the cherished brother of Jessica Lee Greene, the late Rebecah Anne Greene, and the late Zachary Russell Greene, the adored uncle of Zachary James Greene and Elijah and the loving nephew of Lawrence and James Greene, Carole O’Blenes, and the late Russell O’Blenes.
Michael was also proud to be a lifelong resident of Lynn and attended St. Mary’s High School. He was a valued member of the Lynn Shore Little League and of Babe Ruth. When younger he was an active member of the Marblehead Little Theatre.
Michael had a special gift of identifying with nature. He fed the birds daily and could often be found walking in the woods. He was also a gifted landscaper and worked as one for many years. He was a talented artist and musician, and brought joy to many with his unique talents. He had a wonderful way of wanting to make people happy.
Michael’s family and friends will miss his mischievous smile, love of nature, and kind and loving heart. He will truly be missed and remembered every day.
Their funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, June 9, in Holy Family Church, Lynn, at 10am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday, June 8 from 4pm - 8pm, at the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Lynn.
