Maureen A. Beaudet

Maureen Beaudet, “nana banana” 83, died peacefully at her residence in Franklin, NH on Friday, November 5, 2021. She is survived by her sister, Elizabeth Lyng, of Ontario, Canada; her children, Glen Beaudet and his wife Sandy, of Newark Hollow, VT., Lynn Kezer and husband Gerald, of Laconia, NH., Dale Beaudet of Salem, MA., and Michael Beaudet and his wife Clara, of Lexington SC.; her grandchildren, Kelly, Kimberly, Brittany, Macauley, Christopher, and Sara; and her new great grandson, Wren Joseph. She was predeceased by her brother, George of Winnipeg, Canada; her sister, Pat of Wisconsin; and her husband, Norman, who passed away in 2012 after 55 years of marriage.

Originally from Montreal, Maureen met Norman on a blind date in 1955. After a whirlwind romance, they married in 1956 at St. Willibrord’s Parish in Verdun, Montreal. As a proud military family, Norman and Maureen lived in many places including New Hampshire, Alaska, Colorado, New Zealand, and California where Norman retired after 21 years of service. They eventually settled with their family in Lynn, MA, where Norman worked as a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service and Maureen worked as a much-loved lunch lady at Lynn English High School.

Maureen loved knitting, scrabble, attending her grandchildren’s activities, hitting the casinos with Norman and her good friend Terry, scratch tickets and most of all, being right 😊. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and former coworkers.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday November 10th at the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home 157 Maple Street Lynn from 3pm – 6:30pm followed by a prayer service at 6:30pm. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to My Brother’s Table 98 Willow Street Lynn MA 01901.
