Born in Lynn and a lifelong resident of the City, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Dorothy (Porter) Robichaud. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s Girls High School, Lynn.
Hazel was a payroll clerk at the G.E. River Works
She was an activist for the Mass. Senior Action, North Shore, and was active in activities at her home at Wall Towers. She was also Past President of Amvets Post 161 Auxillary.
She was the mother of Richard J. Gaudet of North Andover, Alan J. Gaudet and his wife Sheila of San Jose, CA, and of the late Janice Orlando .She was one of 15 children and is survived by five sisters Nancy Falkingham of IN, Doris Fraser of Danvers, Mary Louise Robichaud of CA, Diane Roberts of Newburyport, and Karen Cameron of Plum Island. She also leaves three grandchildren Joseph Gaudet, Patrick Gaudet and Kellee Perkins, two great-grandsons Auguste Gaudet and Jack Oliver Gaudet, and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday at 8 AM from the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home 157 Maple Street, Lynn, followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church at 9 AM. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the J. Arthur Gaudet Scholarship Fund, Amvets Post 161, 535 Western Avenue, Lynn, MA 01904.
