Bette Ann Stanley

Born in Lynn on December 21, 1933, she was the daughter of late Robert and Evelyn (Coburn) Frawley. She lived in Lynn most of her life until moving to Lynnfield in 2000.

Bette was predeceased by her husband of 39 years, William Stanley. She leaves behind her three loving children, Doreen Bourasaw and her husband Steve of Northwood, New Hampshire, and former son-in-law Barry O’Shea, William Stanley of Swampscott, and Elizabeth Bowden and her husband Steve of Lynn. She was the beloved MeMe to Brendan, Kevin, Timmy, Sean, Lauren, and Bobby, and a great-grandmother to Arya. She was the sister of Roberta Kelly of Maine, and the late Barbara Elwell of Maine. Bette also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.

Bette worked for 25 years for the Lynn Public Schools before retiring in 1994. She enjoyed countless road trips with her family over the years. She loved her Red Sox and listening to Queen. Bette loved taking trips down to Foxwoods and playing the slots. She loved nothing more than spending time with her family.

Friends and family are invited to attend Bette’s visitation on Sunday July 10th 2pm-6pm in the Cuffe McGinn Funeral Home 157 Maple Street, Lynn. Her funeral Mass will be held Monday July 11th, at 10am in St. John the Evangelist Church 174 Humphrey Street, Swampscott, followed by burial in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn.
