A lifelong resident of Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Rose (Bermani) and Luigi Carnevali. She attended Lynn schools and was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School. Following her education, she worked for the Boston Navy Yard where she met her husband and shared a long, loving life with him.
She was a past member of the Sacred Heart Holy Name Society and a long time communicant of St. Pius V Church. She enjoyed cooking, baking, QVC shopping, Hallmark movies, and spending time with family and friends.
She leaves behind her son John Higgins, III. and his wife Carol and her daughter Janice Mackenzie and her husband Aengus, all of Lynn. She was the loving grandmother of Shawn Higgins, Gabrielle Leavitt, Nathaniel Mackenzie and Abigail Mackenzie. She is also survived by her sister Louise Desantis, and her two sons Richard and David Desantis.
Friends and family are invited to attend Adele’s visitation on Friday, December 1, 2023 from 10:00 to 11:30 AM at Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn. Her Funeral Mass will follow at 12:00 PM at St. Pius V Church, 215 Maple Street, Lynn. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Lynn. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Nation Kidney Foundation, www.kidney.org.
