Born on August 13, 1936 in Buffalo, NY, he was the son of the late George and Robina (Calder) MacPeek.
Nelson enlisted in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, working as a Medical Supply Sargent. On returning home he was a truck driver for Riverside Trucking and Red Star of Buffalo. He was a active member of the Army Reserves, retiring in the 1990’s. He was a member of the Houseman-Tanner American Legion of Lyndonville and a member of the Bowmansville and Lyndonville Vol. Fire Dept. He enjoyed hunting and camping and was a avid storyteller.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Elizabeth MacPeek of Lyndonville, Children, Kimberly (Dennis Sr.) Finley of Northern California, Rebecca MacPeek of Buffalo, Jennifer (David) Bertsch of Waterport, Jason (Maribeth) Barnum of Lyndonville, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, two brothers, William (Sharon) MacPeek and Robert (Jane) MacPeek, all of Williamsville and several nieces and nephews.
There are no calling hours. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
