Obituary of Warren Bowser
Warren Hobaugh Bowser, 91, of Covington and formerly of Florida, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at his son’s residence. He was the loving husband of the late Violet Juliet Bowser. Born on April 8, 1928 in New Kennsington, PA, he was the son of the late Warren Stanley Bowser and the late Virginia Hobaugh Bowser. Warren served our country in the United States Army and was retired from Pittsburgh Plate Glass. He enjoyed fishing and sports, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Pittsburgh Pirates. Warren was a member of Community Baptist Church in Bradenton, FL, where he served as Deacon and also in the bus ministry while in Florida. His family was very important to him and he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Virginia Bowser; brothers, Stanley Bowser, Roland Bowser, and Jack Bowser; and sisters, Jean Smith and Paula Shields. Warren is survived by his son, Rev. Dean Bowser and wife Teresa; daughters, Barbara Hopkins and husband Dallas, Janet Peeler and husband John Sr., Nancy Green and husband Pete, and Kathy Bowman and husband John; 16 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brother, Paul Bowser and wife Joyce; sister, Marjie Mahar and husband Bob; and numerous other family members. There will be no formal service at this time. An Inurnment will be held in October at Manasota Memorial Park in Florida. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial contributions be made to Mountain Regional Hospice, 537 Main Street, Unit 2, Clifton Forge, Virginia 24422 or Community Baptist Church, Missions Fund, 5500 18th St E, Bradenton, FL, 34203.
