Virginia Viar Creasy

Virginia Viar Creasy, 88, of Evington entered Heaven on Wednesday, December 30, 2015. She is survived by her loving husband of 71 years, Reese Creasy.
Born in Campbell County on December 18, 1927, she was the daughter of the late William Lewis Viar and the late Emma Little Viar.
Virginia was a long time member of Yellow branch Baptist church and a member of the U.S. Army Freedom Team. She retired from Bonnie Brae laundry and Dry Cleaners and also worked for Hyland Heights Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two daughters, Dorothy Ann creasy and Bonnie Koepper; two brothers and three sisters.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Deronda Cornwell and her husband Roy of Fredericksburg; one son, Allen W. Creasy of Johnson City, TN; one son-in-law, Richard Koepper of Johnson City, TN; three grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
A service celebrating her life will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Monday at Yellow Branch Baptist Church with Pastor Tim Wilde and the Rev. John Willis officiating. Interment will follow in Altavista Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the church for one hour prior to the service.
The family wishes to extend appreciation to the staff of Autumn Care in Altavista and the staff of Lynchburg General Hospital for the wonderful care provided to Virginia.
