Thomas Martin Maynard, 80, of Lynchburg passed away Friday, December 6, 2024 at his residence surrounded by his family. Born in Oak Ridge, TN, July 31, 1944, he was the son of the late Sherrill Franklin Maynard and Lucy Martin Maynard.
Tom dedicated his career to the lumber industry, from purchasing lumber in the rainforests of Central and South America, purchasing machinery for multiple factories in the lumber industry, to building and managing several kitchen cabinet factories.
He is survived by his wife of twelve years, Brenda Vogt Maynard; his daughter, Sherrill Johnson (Derrick); three step-sons, John Bagley (Mickey), Mitchell Bagley and Taylor Bagley (Alexis); five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Kelly Maynard Blaylock and his first wife, Eva Joanne Maynard.
A memorial service celebrating his life and faith will be conducted Tuesday. December 10, 2024 at 1:00PM at Sandusky Baptist Church with Pastor Ed Vogt officiating.
