Pauline S. Perry, 87, of Lynchburg, passed away, Thursday, August 12, 2010, at Virginia Baptist Hospital. She was the wife of the late Ira S. Perry. Born October 23, 1922 in Moneta, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Lee and Mary Layne Spradlin and was the youngest of nine siblings.
Mrs. Perry was a retired employee of CB Fleets, where she served for 25 years, and she was also a faithful member of Fairview Christian Church for over 50 years. Mrs. Perry was also a member of the Sunshine Bible Class at Fairview Christian Church, a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Woodman of the World and the Rebekah Lodge.
Mrs. Perry is survived by one daughter, Rebecca A. Almond and her husband, Buddie of Manassas; three grandchildren, Robin Newlan and her husband, Scott of Everett, WA, J.D. Almond and his wife, Barbra of Marshall and Kevin Almond and his wife, Judy of Manassas; and six great-grandchildren, Shanee, Trevor, C.J., Andrew, Courtney and Wyatt.
She shared a special bond with her seven Spradlin nieces and Pernia. The support and love offered by Alice, Edna, Frances and Juanita will never be forgotten by her family.
A graveside service will be conducted, 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at Fort Hill Memorial Park with the Rev. Jack Hamilton officiating.
The family will receive friends, 2-4 p.m., Monday, August 16, 2010 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel and at other times at the residence.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sunshine Bible Class at Fairview Christian Church.
