Mildred "Millie" Cordelia Elam

Mildred “Millie” Cordelia Elam, 80 of Lynchburg passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2024. She was born in Pittsylvania County on May 29, 1944, daughter of the late Johnny and Louise Patrick. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, William E. Elam as well as two brothers, Johnny Patrick and Jesse Patrick. Millie was a very private person who was devoted to her family. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Loleta Elam; a son, Randy Elam; three sisters, Mamie Clark, Livian Peerman, and Patty Watts; two brothers, Steve Patrick and Michael Patrick; a granddaughter, Amber Chapman; five great grandchildren, Janessa, Jesse, Abby, Isaiah and Adonis; brother in law, Robert Elam and wife Charmaigne as well as a host of nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with interment to follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Monday, July 29, 2024 at the funeral home.
