Margaret Louise Phelps

Margaret Louise Phelps, 84, of Lynchburg, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the loving wife of the late Joseph E. Phelps. Born on December 25, 1931 in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Rosa Goodman. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Donna Beckner and Patricia Goodman. Margaret is survived by her siblings, Christine Carter and husband Tim, Dennis Goodman, Janet Lloyd, and Barbara Lloyd and husband Tommy; one grandchild; son-in-law, Thomas Goodman; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 10 am on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Campbell Avenue Baptist Church, 3705 Campbell Avenue, Lynchburg, VA 24501.
