Margaret “Peggy” Ann Brown, 80, of Lynchburg, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Choice Health Care in Lynchburg.
Born in Lynchburg, September 24, 1942 she dedicated her life caring for others as an LPN with Westminster Canterbury, working there for 20 years. She loved her cats, and to spend time reading. Though she liked to keep to herself she cared for those around her.
She was preceded in death by her father, George E. Brown; her mother Hazel Mehaffey Worley; her stepfather Ralph Worley; and her grandmother Annie Mehaffey.
Peggy is survived by her cousins, Deborah Lee and her husband Henry, Danny Mehaffey and his wife Lynn, Larry Mehaffey; and her close friends Karen Karabin, and Mike Franklin.
A service to celebrate Margaret’s life will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at 1:00pm with a visitation being held at 12:00 pm, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel officiated by Pastor David Turner, with a graveside following at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
The family is requesting any memorial contributions be made to the Lynchburg Humane Society.
