Lloyd Eugene Grant

Born on August 8, 1937, in Thaxton, he was the son of the late Opal and Elizabeth Grant. Lloyd worked as a dairy farmer for 36 years and was retired from Bedford Agriculture Services. He was a hard worker who was dedicated to his family and friends.

Lloyd is survived by his daughter, Teresa Grant of Goode; sons, Jeremy Grant and wife, Paula and Joshua Grant and fiancé, Bailey Dickens, both of Forest; the mother of Jeremy and Joshua, and Loretta Beemer of Forest; sister, Joyce Lynch and husband, Larry of Bedford; two God children, Ashley Karnes Foresman and husband, Zach and Matthew Karnes; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the doctors and staff at The Summit Nursing Home and Rehab for their wonderful care of Lloyd during his time there.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 1, 2016, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel and at other times at the residence of Loretta Beemer.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, November 2, 2016, at New Hope Baptist Church, 8270 E Lynchburg Salem Turnpike, Goode, with Pastor Phil Kelly officiating. Interment will follow at Longwood Cemetery in Bedford.
