Linwood Teal Wilkinson

Linwood Teal Wilkinson, 83, of Lynchburg, died, Saturday, April 16, 2011, at Virginia Baptist Hospital. He was the husband of 62 years to Juanita Thomas Wilkinson. He was born May 1, 1927, in Mecklenburg County, to the late John Wilkinson and Bena Horne Wilkinson.

Mr. Wilkinson was a retired minister for the Assemblies of God and a member of Tree of Life Ministries.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Wilkinson is preceded in death by one sister, Bonnie Puryear; and four brothers, Randolph Wilkinson, James Wilkinson, Edward Wilkinson and Norman Wilkinson.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Wilkinson is survived by one son, Bruce Wilkinson and his wife Bonnie of Lynchburg; one daughter, Brenda Hensley and her husband Philip of Lynchburg; two sisters, Elsie Robinson of South Hill and Edith Blanton of Lacrosse; and nine grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 18, 2011, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with the Rev. Mike Dodson and the Rev. Don Webb officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m., at Crestview Memorial Park in Lacrosse.

The family will receive friends, 3-5 p.m., Sunday, April 17, 2011, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel and at other times at the residence.
