Born on July 14, 1957 in Lynchburg, he was the son of Kenneth Darnell Ellis and the late Mary Keesee Ellis. Ray worked for Armstrong as an electrician and enjoyed fishing, camping, and his dogs.
In addition to his mother, Mary Ellis, Ray is preceded in death by his brother, Harvey Allen and his sister, Sheila Ellis.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Larry LeSueur, Jr. and wife Heidi; his daughter, Tabbatha Terry and husband Russell;; 14 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sister, Paula Bagby; two brothers, Rocky Allen and wife Beverly and Roy Ellis and wife Aletha; and numerous other family members and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel, with Pastor Tim Dooley officiating. Inurnment will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service starting at 10 am.
