Born in Lynchburg on December 12, 1959, Jeff was the third son of the late Lucy Tomlin Bryant and Thomas Hillsman Bryant of Rustburg. He graduated from Rustburg High School and attended Central Virginia Community College. Throughout his career, Jeff was the owner of an auto sales company and held jobs in casino tourism and produce management.
To those who worked with him and were close to him, Jeff was known for his smile and his ability to make anyone laugh with his contagious energy and entertaining stories, capturing the attention of everyone in the room. He was also a loving papa to his two special grandchildren, Kennedy and Kasen.
He is survived by his brother Mike Bryant and his wife Susan of Rustburg; daughter Jennifer Travis and her husband, Trae Travis of Forest; granddaughter Kennedy Travis and grandson Kasen Travis; two sons, Jeffrey Bryant and his fiancée Alex Bouchereau of Medford, Massachusetts, and Nicholas Bryant of Jersey City, New Jersey. Jeff held close friendships throughout his life and is also survived by Doug and Judy Pendleton of Forest, Steve Garrett of Salem, James Ingram Jr. of Amherst, Kevin and Tracy Ragland of Forest and many other special friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Randy Bryant; his mother, Lucy Tomlin Bryant and his father, Thomas Hillsman Bryant, all of Rustburg. He was also preceded in death by a father-like figure, James Ingram Sr. of Lynchburg.
A memorial service celebrating his life will be conducted on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Whitten Timberlake Chapel officiated by Pastor David Turner.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 p.m. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers to Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
