Gary Melvin Wade

He was born in Lynchburg, February 12, 1981. Gary worked in tree service and was self-employed. He was also an artist. Gary could draw anything and he loved to paint. He especially enjoyed painting murals on the bedroom walls of his children and nieces. He was a loving father and son.

Survivors include his mother, Janet Pleasants Unger of Madison Heights; his father and step-mother, William Eugene and Candi Wade of Evington; his wife, Brandi Elizabeth Wade and their two children, Ashlan Hope Wade and Nicholas Owen Wade; one sister, Shannon Wade Layne; six brothers, William E. Wade, Jr. and wife Katy, Shawn Daniel Wade and wife Allison, Brandon Ryan Wade and wife Crystal, C.B. Wade and wife Megan, Dustin Allen Wade and wife Sabrina and Zachary Nathan Wade and his Fiancé Arika Stemmer; one step-brother, Ashley Mason and wife Kathryn and his maternal grandmother, Mary Pleasants. He is also survived by many other extended family and friends.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at the Tree of Life Cemetery with the Rev. Alvin Triplett officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, September 4, 2017 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel and at other times at the home of his father.
