IN THE CARE OF
Whitten Timberlake Chapel
Faye Clark Wood Talley, 86, of Lynchburg passed away Thursday, June 22, 2023.
Born on October 6, 1936 in Manassas, she was the daughter of the late Frank Jennings Wood and Teresa Smith Wood.
Faye was a graduate of the Lynchburg General School of Nursing and worked as an RN for several years. She paused her career to raise her family and later retired from the Limitorque Corp. having served as an industrial nurse. She later served for a number of years as a part-time teacher's assistant at Heritage High School. She was a very sociable person, easily befriending those around her, never knowing a stranger, and found joy in the spotlight. She enjoyed being a member of the Sweet Adeline's choral group and was also a member of Timberlake United Methodist Church. Faye's caregiving abilities extended beyond her professional role, as she lovingly cared for her mother and grandparents during their illnesses. However, her most cherished role was that of a devoted grandmother, always idolizing her grandchildren making them her number one priority.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son Mark Talley and daughter-in-law Donna of Wake Forest NC.; and her two loving grandchildren Danielle and Jessica Talley.
A Service celebrating her life and faith will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 15, 2023 at Timberlake Church. The church will host a reception following the service.
Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider Timberlake Church, at 21649 TImberlake Road Lynchburg, VA 24502.
