Deborah "Debbie" Brooks Hudson

Deborah “Debbie” Brooks Hudson, 62 of Lynchburg passed away on Monday, February 19, 2018. She was born in Lynchburg on January 15, 1956, daughter of the late John and Maybell Brooks. She was retired from Virginia Baptist Hospital and loved scrapbooking as well as having a deep love for all cats. Debbie was the widow of Irvin R. Hudson. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Denis Wayne Brooks Survivors include a daughter, Patsy H. Shepherd (Dallas); grandson, Jayden Davis Shepherd; three brothers, Robert E. Viar (Patsy), Maynon L. Viar (Claudia), and Donald R. Brooks (Faye). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held at 5:00 pm on Friday, March 2, 2018 at Living Water Baptist Church with Pastor Daryl W. Donald, Sr. presiding. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 4:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Lynchburg Humane Society Cat Room, 1211 Old Graves Mill Rd, Lynchburg, VA 24502.
