Daryl Alan Kinney

Daryl Alan Kinney, 66, of Forest, departed this life on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at the University of Virginia Medical Center. He was the devoted husband of Dianne Smith Kinney for 40 years, and the beloved father of two daughters, Allison Kinney Frisicaro and Melissa Kinney Ring, Both of Virginia Beach, VA.

Daryl was preceded in death by his father, Charles Robert Kinney and mother, Marjol Tullis Kinney.

In addition to his loving wife Dianne and their children, Daryl leaves to cherish his memory two brothers, Keith Kinney of Yellow Springs, OH and Michael Kinney of Lake Forest, CA; two sons-in-law, Jeremy Frisicaro and Ted Ring, both of Virginia Beach; two adoring grandchildren, Alaina Frisicaro and Evan Ring and many nieces and nephews.

Daryl was a graduate of the University of Ohio with degrees in both Engineering and Business. He spent his years before retirement working as an industrial engineer. Upon retirement, he began working as a real estate agent and found this was his true passion. Daryl enjoyed every aspect of life from going for a “Sunday drive” to relaxing at the beach to just spending time with his family. He was very involved with his church family at the Kirk, serving as an Elder and committing his time to various church and community projects. Daryl also enjoyed volunteering at Thomas Jefferson’s Poplar Forest. He will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at The Kirk – A Christian Community Church on Thomas Jefferson Rd. in Forest.
