Chuck Lightfoot, 78, of Evington went to his final resting place on Sunday, January 3rd, 2021 after a valiant fight. Born on December 31st, 1942 in Buckingham County, he was the son of the late Robert Lightfoot Ragland and Ruby Pearl Bryant Ragland. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Gladys Ragland Walker and Joan Ragland, and one brother, Shirley Ragland. He is survived by a lot of close friends that will miss him deeply.
Chuck served for 4 years in the Marine Corp during the Vietnam War and was extremely proud of the fact that he had served his country. He was the owner and operator of Lightfoot Enterprises and later retired from driving a truck altogether. He loved life as a truck driver and the freedom it afforded him to travel across the country and meet new people. He never met a stranger and loved to talk to all he met.
There will be no formal services at this time.
Memorial contributions to the American Heart Association and the American Diabetes Association in Chuck’s name would be appreciated.
