He was born on January 4, 1939 in Lynchburg and was the son of the late Charles H. Bondurant and Virginia M. Bondurant. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Kelly L. Bondurant and a sister, Eleanor Carwile.
He graduated from Brookville High School and worked for many years at General Electric/Ericsson prior to his retirement. He was an excellent singer and soloist and sang at numerous weddings and funerals over the years. He loved traveling and going on cruises and camping at Myrtle Beach Travel Park. He also spent time bowling and playing golf. He was a member of Marsh Memorial United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Mary W. Bondurant; daughter Kathy Tinnell (Butch); grandson, Joshua Robertson (Sierra); great grandson, Wyatt Robertson; two sisters, Margie Brooks and Carole George and one brother, David Bondurant.
The family would like to gratefully acknowledge his caregiver Lisa Harris for the wonderful care and attention she provided.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with the Rev. Bill Burleigh officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, July 25, 2022 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
