Bernice Witt Hall, 81, of Evington, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 12, 2024.
Born on July 1, 1943 in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Jennie Witt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life and husband of 59 years, John Howard Hall.
Bernice was a devout Christian and faithful member of Evington Church. She received the Community Service Award from the Newman Masonic Lodge on multiple occasions. Bernice spent many years as a homemaker before returning to work at J. Crew where she retired as a supervisor. She loved spending time in the outdoors, tending to her flowers and garden, canning, working on puzzles, crocheting and participating in the Red Hat Society at The Summit Assisted Living. Above all, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She is survived by her children, Clifton Hall and his wife Amy and Tammy Taylor and her husband Jay; grandchildren, Alexandra Grae Tweedy and her fiancé William Taylor, Kameron Elizabeth Tweedy, James Hall and his wife Cheyenne and Jodie Hall; one great grandson, James R.
