Tommy “Tom” Lee Trumble, III, aged 64 of New Orleans and Lumberton, MS, beloved husband of Sharon Hoke Trumble, died February 28 due to complications from lung cancer and a 2011 auto accident. He is survived by nine children: Amy Trumble Baringer of Arnold, MD, Melissa Trumble Carter of Manassas, VA, Thomas Lee Trumble of Mandeville, LA, Rebecca Trumble Vento of Vienna, VA, Christopher Brun Trumble of Los Angeles, CA, Joshua Poyner Trumble of New Orleans, Nicholas Daharsh Trumble of New Orleans, Catherine Elizabeth Trumble of New Orleans, and Mary Ann Trumble of Nashville, TN; one stepdaughter, Suzanne Reynolds Skinner of Hattiesburg, MS; and 10 grandchildren and step-grandchildren: Thaddeus and Brun Baringer; Bryce, Meghan and Brody Trumble; Kailey, Luke and Emily Skinner; and Celene and JW Carter.
He was preceded in death by his wife Jennifer Brun Trumble of Lumberton, MS and his father Tommy Lee Trumble, Jr.; and survived by his mother Vivian Daharsh Trumble Parsley of Inez, TX, and siblings Zane Trumble Lowenstein of Austin, TX, Greer Trumble of Fayetteville, NC, Tracy Trumble Tucker of Lafayette, LA and Roman Trumble Hill of Inez, TX; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Trumble was born September 28, 1947 in Brownfield, TX and reared in Edna, TX. He served in the U.S. Air Force and graduated from American International College in Springfield, MA, held an MBA from Tulane University and was a Certified Public Accountant. He owned a CPA firm, Tom Trumble CPA, in New Orleans for many years. He earned his Black Belt in Tang Soo Do and was a history buff who enjoyed painting, reading, gardening and extensive traveling.
Services will be held at 10:00am on March 3 at 1st Baptist Church in Lumberton, MS with visitation at 9:00am. A celebration of Tom’s life will be held March 4 at his office and family home in New Orleans.
