Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday September 9, 2011 at White Funeral Home, Lumberton for Mr. Michael James "Squirrel" Owen, 45, of the Leetown Community (Lumberton), Mississippi who died Wednesday September 7, 2011 in the loving care of his family at his home. Brother Carl Hall and Brother Jeremy Buras will officiate at the service. Burial will follow in the Union Grove Cemetery, Purvis.

He was retired Truck Driver with Boone Timber in Wiggins, Mississippi and B.J.&D. Trucking in Poplarville, Mississippi and was an Apostolic.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Darlene Matthews-Owen of Lumberton, Mississippi; three sons, Boe Bellais and Rorrie Bellais, both of Poplarville, Mississippi, and Cody Owen of Lumberton, Mississippi; one daughter, Haley Owen, of Lumberton, Mississippi; one brother, Grady Owen; three sisters, Brenda Smith, Glenda Herrin, and Debbie Smith, all of Lumberton, Mississippi; and ten grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his father, James "Red" Owen.

Pallbearers will be Carl Herrin, Leon Herrin, Johnny Owen, David Smith, James Smith, and Randall Smith.

Visitation will be 6pm until 10pm Thursday September 8, 2011 at White Funeral Home, Lumberton.
