Willie Mae (Breeden) Hill, 90, of Lufkin, was born March 2, 1922 in Smithville, Texas, the daughter of the late Zelma (Frazier) and William Breeden. She passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2012 in a local nursing facility.
Mrs. Hill was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was retired from Angelina Hardwood Sales, where she worked for George Henderson, Jr. as a bookkeeper. She loved going to the beauty shop every Thursday for Eloise to fix her hair. She enjoyed grocery shopping at Brookshire Brothers, cooking, and loved to socialize. She was very much a people person - everyone loved her and never had anything negative to say about her. If anyone gets to go to Heaven, she will...she was beautiful inside and out. Mrs. Hill was a member of Lufkin's First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son, Michael Hill and his fiance Diane Tran of Lufkin; granddaughter, Glinda Clark and husband Joe of Pineland; grandson, Justin Hill and wife Jennifer of Colorado Springs, Colorado; great-grandsons, Aaron Hill and Travis Fore; brother, William Breeden Jr. and wife Pat of Smithville; special friend and caregiver, Cora Lee Colquit; and a number of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hill was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Mitchell Hill; twin infant sons, David and Daniel Hill; grandson, Asa Michael Hill; 2 brothers; and 3 sisters.
Services for Mrs. Hill will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, May 10, 2012 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Andrew G. Pittman officiating. Interment will follow in the Gann Cemetery.
