Terry Lane Hughes

Services for Terry Lane Hughes, 75, of Lufkin, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 25, 2021 in the Elwyn M. Gipson Memorial Chapel located in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park, 5205 S. First Street. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Terry was born September 4, 1946 in Lufkin, Texas, the son of the late Etheldred (Brown) and Norman Hughes. He passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2021 in a local hospital.

Terry was a truck driver and a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother. He enjoyed working on cars and had a green thumb.

Survivors include his wife, Belinda Hughes; son, Coby Hughes; stepson, D J Jordan, Jr. and wife Tenny; a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and brothers, Jonathan Hughes and Stephen Hughes.

In addition to his parents, Terry was preceded in death by his son, Gerald W. Hughes; and sister, Lynn Woolery.

Pallbearers will be Coby Hughes, D J Jordan, Delane Moore, Tyler Lovel, Jackie Williams and Ricky Hughes.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
