Jo Ann Gibson

Services for Jo Ann Gibson, 82, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 30, 2021 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Richard Amador officiating. Interment will follow in the Zavalla Cemetery.

Mrs. Gibson was born November 9, 1938, the daughter of the late Lula Josephine (Dunaway) and Wayne Carter Dillahunty. She passed away Sunday, October 24, 2021 at her residence.

Mrs. Gibson was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She will be greatly missed but now is with the Lord.

Survivors include her daughter, Ann Henderson and husband Toby of Crosby; daughter, Brenda Disiere of Crosby; grandson, Ryan Henderson and wife Christina of Pflugerfille; granddaughter, Lea McFarlin and husband Brian of Leander; great-grandchildren, Layla Ann McFarlin, Kylee Grace Henderson, Warren Dean McFarlin and Bryce Carter Henderson; brothers, Oscar Dillahunty of Lufkin, Joel Dillahunty and wife Margaret of Lufkin, and Earnest Dillahunty and wife Marsha, of Georgetown; and numerous friends and family members too many to count.

Mrs. Gibson was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Earl Gibson; parents, Wayne Carter Dillahunty and Lula Josephine Dunaway Dillahunty; brother, John Daniel Dillahunty; and son-in-law, Earl Maurice Disiere.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Henderson, Brian McFarlin, Zack Dillahunty, Wayne Gibson, Oscar Dillahunty, and Dennis Dale.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to service time Saturday at the funeral home.
