Erica Isabell Rodriguez

Erica was born October 2, 1979, in Raymondville, Texas to Wilma Rodriguez and Bonifacio Rodriguez, and died Saturday, January 21, 2023, when the Lord decided to call his angel home.

Erica was a beautiful soul. She was the best sister anyone could ask for. Although she was different, anyone who got to know her learned to love her the way she was. She enjoyed doing puzzles and collecting stuffed animals. When her nieces and nephews were little, she loved playing with them. You could bring a smile to her face when you brought her a kid’s meal because she loved toys. She always knew how to let you know someone was coming by being very vocal. Our angel was loved beyond measure and will be deeply missed. Even though your presence is no longer with us, you will never be forgotten.

Survivors include her parents, Wilma Rodriguez of Lufkin and Bonifacio Rodriguez of Monterrey, Mexico; brothers, Manuel Rodriguez of Nacogdoches; Bonifacio Rodriguez of Lufkin, Ruben and Kimberly Rodriguez of Baytown, John and Mari Rodriguez of Pasadena, David and Michelle Grimaldo of Crosby; sisters, Claudia Rodriguez of Monterrey, Mexico, Monica Grimaldo of Lufkin, Veronica and Jaime Molina of Lufkin, Jessica and Benjamin Cardenas of Rowland Heights, CA and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Rev. Eulogio and Matilde Singleterry; paternal grandmother, Eulalia Alonso; uncle, Rev. Ruben Singleterry; sisters, Becky Rodriguez and Annarosa Ayala.
