Curtis Ward Massingill

Curtis was born September 5, 1947 in Diboll, Texas to Perminus Jasper (P.J.) and Gladys (Whitehead) Massingill and he passed away Friday, August 19, 2022 at his residence.

Curtis was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was married to his loving wife Faith for 24 years.

He loved cars, working in the yard and taking things that were broken and fixing them.

Survivors include his wife, Faith Massingill of Diboll; son, John Massingill of Lufkin; daughter, Robin Hooks and husband Doug of Hudson; brothers, Travis Massingill and wife Betty of Weatherford; Jay Massingill and wife Loisann of Weatherford; sisters, Artie Nixon of Diboll and Doreen Weisinger of Lufkin; sister-in-law, Sarah Massingill; grandchildren, Cheyenne, Alyssa, Keirra, and Matthew. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

His parents, Perminus Jasper (P.J.) and Gladys Massingill; brothers, Burl and Ernest Massingill; sister, Joyce Massingill; and his son, Joshua Massingill, precede him in death.

Services have been placed in the trust of Gipson Funeral Home.
