Wilma Mary Petree passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013 at the age of 96. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 7, 2013 with the Rev. Jim Black in the Morton Cemetery, Morton, TX. She was born September 11, 1917 in Bronson, San Augustine County, TX to D.A & Callie Williams. She married to Chester Augustus Petree on March 10, 1935 in Portales, NM. She was a homemaker and beautician. She was a member of the Montery Baptist Church. She resided in the Maple, TX community for many years and moved to Lubbock, 1986. Wilma loved the Lord and was a very strong Christian. She enjoyed her quilting group at Montery Baptist and together quilted over 100 quilts. She is survived by sons Dannie(Barbara) of Lubbock and Kenneth(Carlene) of Clovis, NM. Grandsons Monte and Stephen. Granddaughters Beckie and Danielle. Step grandchildren Brandy & Ross. 6 great grandchildren & 3 step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by Chester in 1986 and grandson Kerry in 2009. She was also preceded in death by brothers Nash, Lamar & Fred. Sisters Clara, Audra and Mildred(Millie)
