William H. "Bill" Pool

William H. "Bill" Pool went to be with his Lord on November 27th, 2022 at the age of 89. Services will be held at Broadview Baptist Church on December 10th, 2022, with Dr. David Rhoades and Ed Clark officiating.

Bill was born to Wilber and Lillian Pool on December 11, 1932 in Altus, Oklahoma.

Bill found the love of his life, Judy Pauline "Polly" Southall, and they were married on November 25, 1951 and spent 68 happy years together.

Bill worked for Whites Auto Store as an Assistant Manager until he was called into the Military. He attained the rank of Sergeant in the Army and was discharged May 5, 1955.

Upon returning from the Army, he went to work as a machinist in his father's and uncle's machine shop until 1961 when he joined Texas Instruments in Dallas, Texas, working as an electro-mechanical technician and tooling engineer. He transferred to the Lubbock T.I. site in 1974, and was the machine shop supervisor until his retirement after 31 years of service.

After his retirement, Bill opened a machine shop and began designing and building many different kinds of machines for several businesses.

Bill was a member of Broadview Baptist Church of Lubbock, Texas for many years.

Survivors include his daughter, Sheri Keithley and fiance Jack Davis of Lubbock, TX; a son, Brad Pool and wife Bari of San Antonio, TX; a granddaughter, Stephanie Thode and husband Jason, along with their sons (Bill's great-grandsons) William and Jay Daniel of Frisco, TX; a grandson, Alex Keithley of Lubbock, TX; a grandson, Dallas Pool and wife Amy, along with their twin girls (Bill's great-granddaughters) Ali and Zoe, of Austin, TX; a granddaughter, Katy Pool of Dallas, TX; a grandson, David Keithley and wife Velvia, along with their daughter (Bill's great-granddaughter) Johanna, of Huntsville, TX; a great-granddaughter, Nicole Zadakis and husband Stephen, along with their son (Bill's great-great-grandson) Miles, of Elizabeth City, NC.

He is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Judy Pauline "Polly" Pool.
