William was born December 10, 1942 in his beloved Republic of Panama to Patsy Romero and Bill Camp. Bill married Edilma Lastenia in 1965 and she passed away in 1991.
Bill is survived by his devoted wife Sandra Kay Camp whom he married in 1999 and by three daughters: Ivette Tobar and husband Chris, Ilka Ramirez, husband Arquello, Ivonne Trevino and husband Arthur, 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
William attended Catholic University, Republic of Panama where he was on Chancellor’s Honor list, Presidents Honor list, Texas Tech, Dean’s list, Texas Tech University. He was a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society for excellence in graduate studies, Vice-President, President, Student Senate, Catholic University, Republic of Panama.
William received two Masters from Texas Tech in Sociology and Rhetoric and a BA in Human Services.
William retired from the Federal Government with Immigration and Naturalization Service and the Social Security Administration and most important he worked as an overseas agent for the Central Intelligence Agency. William served in the United States Army specializing in intelligence stationed in Korea and Cambodia.
William had a great sense of humor; he loved helping people, he was an avid reader, reading newspapers from around the world, loved music of fela kuti, Panama, Cuba, 60’s music, blues, politics, traveling, basketball and could talk about any subject to anyone.
