Waymer Wilbur Edwards, 73, passed away Friday May 8, 2015 in Lubbock. He was born July 6, 1941 in Hamilton, TX to Wilbur and Maggie Edwards. Waymer married Glenna Joyce Bilberry on August 2, 1959. He served in the US Navy from 1958 to1960 and was an active member of AA. He was an aspiring author and a member of Asbury United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce; sons, Carl and wife Cindy, Collin and wife Veronica, and Chris and wife Crystal; grandchildren, Jeff, Tim, Nick and wife Stephanie, Tyler, Ryan and Anne; great-granddaughter, Abby; brother, Clay and wife Denise and niece and nephew, Melissa and Matthew.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 12 at 10 am in Resthaven Funeral Home’s Abbey Chapel. In lieu of flowers the family suggest contributions to Lubbock Hospice.
