She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. Viola was preceded in death by her father, Walter Lee Overbay; mother, Mary Audrey Overbay; brothers, Jerry Dean Overbay and Sherman Lee Overbay.
Left to cherish her memory are her children and their spouses, Darren and Audrey Tidwell, Chuck and Carolyn Lankford, Timmy and Bambi Hodges, Sherman and J'Lynn Hodges, and Jennifer Hodges; her aunt, Wanda Raymer; 13 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
A visitation for Viola will be held Thursday, July 21, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home, 5740 19th Street, Lubbock, Texas. A funeral service will occur Friday, July 22, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Resthavens' Abbey Chapel, 5740 19th Street, Lubbock, Texas.
Serving as pallbearers are Josh Tidwell, Jacob Tidwell, Conner Hodges, Tallen Hodges, Hagen Hodges, Clay Lankford, Jace Hernandez and Robbie Kreger.
